The experience

You pick up the boat at Lungo Lario Trieste 26 in Como and take the helm yourself: no captain, no guide, no group. The motorboat has an awning and bench seating, designed for comfort on the water. The 40hp engine is new and well-maintained. Petrol is included in the rental cost, so you don't pay extra to run it. Safety equipment for all passengers comes aboard.

The lake opens up in front of you. You can steer toward Cernobbio to see Villa d'Este and Villa Erba from the water, continue to Moltrasio and Laglio, or push further to Brienno and Isola Comacina. Bellagio is reachable in about an hour and a half of smooth sailing if you want to go that far. There's no itinerary to follow and no schedule to keep. You decide where to go and how long to stay. The time needed to learn how the boat works is built into your 4-hour rental.

The meeting point sits 700 meters from Valduce car park, and Como Lago railway station is nearby if you're arriving by train. This experience depends on good weather. If conditions cancel your rental, you'll be offered an alternative date or a full refund. Infants must sit on an adult's lap. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, a full hour of rental will be charged.
