The experience

You arrive at Midleton Distillery in Cork and move past the standard tasting room into a working space where an expert host walks you through the fundamentals of cocktail making. The masterclass runs one hour and covers the history and character of Irish whiskey alongside the practical skills: how to balance flavors, layer spirits, build drinks with precision. This is not a lecture. You're handling the tools and pouring the measures yourself, learning what makes a cocktail work by doing it.

The experience includes a guided tour of the distillery itself, so you see where the whiskey is made before you work with it. You taste as you go: the spirit in its raw form, then in the cocktails you build. An expert host stays with you throughout, answering questions about production methods, flavor profiles, and the specific character of the whiskey you're working with. By the end of the hour, you've made drinks, tasted them, and walked through a real distillery operation.

Fully hosted by one of our mixology experts in our new dedicated cocktail-making room. The session lasts 1 hour, after which you can head to the bar and enjoy sipping one of your cocktail creations at your leisure. You will create and taste three superb Jameson cocktails and receive a cocktail-making recipe book as a keepsake of this unique and memorable experience.
