If you want to learn to surf in Bali or just up your game, this trip gives you real coaching at beaches chosen for your level. You’ll get local tips, plenty of support, and time in the water that’s all about you—not a big group.
Salt in the air, board wax on my hands, and the low hum of scooters passing by—my morning started at a tiny warung near Seminyak. Our surf coach, Wayan, greeted us with a grin and two strong cups of kopi. He checked the tides on his phone, glanced at the sky, and picked a spot that matched both my nerves and the wind: Batu Bolong Beach. The sand was already warm underfoot, and you could smell incense from a nearby temple drifting over the shore.
Before we hit the water, we ran through pop-up drills right there on the sand. My first few tries were wobbly—Wayan just laughed and showed me how to shift my weight. Out in the waves, he paddled beside me, calling out tips between sets. I wiped out more than once (okay, more like five times), but he was patient, pointing out which waves to chase and when to wait. After about an hour and a half—arms like noodles—we headed back to debrief. There was time for questions, feedback, and another quick coffee before our ride back. The whole thing felt relaxed but focused; no pressure to rush or perform.
We’ll suggest spots based on your level and daily conditions, but if you have a favorite beach in mind, just let us know—we’ll do our best to make it work.
Nope! Beginners are welcome. We’ll start with basics on land before heading into the water.
You can stay in the water up to 2 hours—it’s flexible based on how you’re feeling.
Yes, we’ll arrange pick-up and drop-off for you so you don’t have to worry about getting to the beach.
Your surfboard rental, bottled water to keep you hydrated, private transport to and from your hotel or villa, plus coffee or tea at our meeting spot are all part of your day. Just bring your swimwear and some sunscreen—we’ll handle the rest.
