Kempty Falls is the first stop, arriving around 9 AM: a natural waterfall with a pool deep enough to swim in if the weather holds. You spend roughly 90 minutes there, then drive up to Mall Road, Mussoorie's main street, lined with colonial buildings and local eateries where you can grab snacks or browse souvenirs for about an hour and a half.

After Mall Road comes the Mussoorie Heritage Centre, a museum walk-through that takes an hour and covers the region's history and culture. Lunch follows at 1:30 PM. The afternoon splits between Gun Hill (the second-highest peak in Mussoorie, reached by cable car or on foot, with panoramic views across the Himalayan range and Doon Valley), and either Camel's Back Road (a quiet, tree-lined walk with sunset views) or Company Garden (a maintained garden with a small lake and boating). George Everest House, the ruins of the surveyor's former home, sits on the route back and offers views toward the snow-capped peaks. The return drive to Dehradun leaves around 6 PM and takes 1 to 2 hours.
