Steer your own boat to Rhodes' best snorkeling without a license or a skipper.

Private boat rental in Rhodes Town for self-drive snorkeling at Kallithea Springs, Anthony Quinn Bay, Ladiko Bay and Traganou Caves, with no boating license required. Choose a 2-hour sunset cruise or a full day (up to 8 hours) exploring the island's turquoise bays and sea caves at your own pace. Modern 2023 boats come equipped with sun-tent, shower, music system and snorkeling gear. Navigation buoys guide you to the best spots.

The experience

You arrive in Rhodes Town with a free afternoon or a full day and no interest in joining a crowded tour boat. Sirokos changes that equation: it's one of the few boats available here where the operator trusts you to take the wheel yourself, no license required. The boat's size and design (stable, easy to handle) make that possible. You pick the duration: a 2-hour golden-hour cruise from Kallithea Springs or anything up to 8 hours exploring the whole coastline. Navigation buoys mark the route to the snorkeling spots, so you're not navigating blind.

Kallithea Springs sits in turquoise water fed by thermal springs; Anthony Quinn Bay is one of the most photographed bays in Greece, ringed by dramatic cliffs; Traganou Caves cut into the rock along the shoreline. You choose which ones to visit, how long to stay at each, and where to drop anchor and swim. The boat carries snorkeling equipment, a sun-tent for shade, a shower to rinse off salt, and a music system, so you set the pace and the soundtrack. Drinks are on board. Fuel runs about €10 per hour and is your cost. If you'd rather not drive, a skipper is available for an additional fee.

The meeting point is New Marina in Rhodes Town. If you need a transfer from your hotel, the operator arranges it on request. The boat is wheelchair accessible, and all surfaces are accessible as well, so mobility is not a barrier to booking.
