The experience

The Land Rover seats up to six and comes with air conditioning, bottled water and a professional driver who speaks English, French, German or Russian. The options span the region: the Katharo Plateau in the high mountains, waterfalls buried in forest (a 30-minute walk each way), the 3,250-year-old tree near the lost city of Azoria where archaeologists still dig, caves that require a 15-minute uphill walk to enter, Elounda and Spinalonga, or any of the towns and landmarks scattered across east Crete. Hotel pickup is included.

The half-day window means you fit this around the rest of your schedule.
