The experience

You arrive at Katakolon port and need to see Olympia without renting a car or joining a crowd. This tour picks you up near the port gate and builds the day around the archaeological site itself: about an hour to walk the ruins of the Zeus temple and stadium with an English guidebook in hand, then the museum to see the famous statue of Hermes Praxiteles and other artifacts. The skip-the-line access means you move straight through without waiting at the gate.

After Olympia, the route turns inland to Klio's honey farm, where you walk the fields and watch the owners explain their production process over local pancakes with honey, sitting under the garden shade. A 30-minute stop at a winery follows, with wine tasting and small plates of traditional vegetables and cooked dishes. The hidden stop is Kremasty monastery, perched in the hills with views across the region and a chance to meet the nuns and learn about Orthodox practice there.

The day ends at Saint Andrew beach for a swim in clear water and a coffee or light lunch before the drive back to the port. Your driver provides live commentary throughout and knows the timing of your ship. You give the ship name, docking time and re-boarding time at booking so the return is guaranteed to get you back in time.
