Athens E-Scooter Tour: Acropolis Area with certified guide
Ride past the Parthenon and ancient gates instead of walking the hills
A guided e-scooter tour of Athens' Acropolis area and surrounding landmarks, led by a certified guide in English, with helmet, training and bottled water included. The tour covers seven stops—Odeon of Herodes Atticus, Philopappos Hill, Pnyx Hill, National Observatory of Athens, Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian's Arch—in two hours. Children from age 9 are welcome; riders under 15 sit as passengers on the back.
Step-by-step itinerary

- Ride along Dionysiou Areopagitou Street
- Visit Temple of Olympian Zeus
- See Hadrian’s Arch
The Experience
The tour starts at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, a Roman stone theatre on the Acropolis' southwest slope completed in AD 161. From there you glide to Philopappos Hill, a green area southwest of the Acropolis where you'll see views across Athens and the Aegean Sea, and pass Socrates' Prison and Loubadiaris Church. The route then climbs to Pnyx Hill, where Athenians gathered for popular assemblies as early as 507 BC—the birthplace of democracy itself.
The National Observatory of Athens, founded in 1842 as Greece's oldest research institute, marks the fourth stop. You then ride down Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, a pedestrianized route redesigned in 1955 that runs along the Acropolis' south slope. The Temple of Olympian Zeus, a colossal former temple dedicated to Zeus, comes next, followed by Hadrian's Arch—a monumental gateway that once spanned the ancient road connecting central Athens to the temple complex on the city's eastern side.
Every stop includes time to photograph and video. The e-scooter does the climbing; you handle the steering and braking after a brief training session. Helmets, water and a tour leader are included. If you can't ride, you travel as a passenger on the back of someone else's scooter. Groups run up to 16 people, with eight riding and eight as passengers, so the pace stays manageable and nobody gets left behind.
