The experience
You arrive at the winery surrounded by vineyards and step into the cellar where three wines wait. Your host works here year-round and knows the steep-slope cultivation, the grape varieties, and why this particular terroir shapes every bottle. This is not a classroom tasting. It's a conversation with someone who tends the vines. You'll taste each wine in a relaxed atmosphere, ask questions as they come, and hear the winemaking secrets that don't make it into travel guides.
The tasting itself runs about thirty minutes. You sample three carefully selected wines, each one a story: the grapes, the harvest, the cellar work, the character that emerged. Your host walks you through what you're tasting and why it matters. Between sips, you can look out at the vineyard slopes and absorb the place where these wines were born. Non-alcoholic beverages are available if you'd prefer to purchase something else.
After the tasting, you're welcome to walk the KunstWanderWeg, an art hiking trail that winds through the vineyards up to the Stone Snail viewpoint. It's optional, but it extends the visit if you want to linger in the region. The winery is accessible by public transportation, and your host conducts tastings in English or German.
