The boat is yours alone. You arrive, decorate it however you want, and hand the captain your playlist to play through the JBL Boombox 3 speaker system. While you sit back on the water, the captain navigates safely past the Karl-Theodor Bridge, the Old Bridge, and positions the boat for the view of Heidelberg Castle rising above the riverbank. Wine glasses are ready for toasting.

The 1.5-hour trip moves at a pace that lets you actually see things instead of rushing past them. The Neckar is narrow enough that you're close to the architecture and the shoreline, but far enough out to get the perspective the streets never give you. Families bring children free of charge, and the boat works for couples marking something, groups of friends, or a mix of ages traveling together.
