The Experience
The tour starts with a Segway instruction session so you can get comfortable on the board before the route begins. Once you're steady, the guide leads you through Munich's main sights over three hours, moving at a pace that lets you stop for photos and explanations at each landmark. You'll ride through the English Garden, one of Europe's largest urban parks, then head toward the river and the distinctive Müllersches Volksbad, a 1920s public bath building that anchors the east bank of the Isar.
From there the route crosses into the city center, passing Maximilianstraße—Munich's grand shopping boulevard—and the Deutsches Museum before reaching the Munich Residence, the former royal palace. You'll stop at Odeonsplatz to see the Feldherrnhalle and Theatinerkirche, then loop back through the Hofgarten. The Eisbach Wave, where surfers ride a standing wave in the middle of the river, comes into view as you return through the English Garden. The guide provides commentary throughout and stops for pictures at each major site.
Bring non-slip shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, sunglasses and sunscreen. A wet poncho is provided if rain comes. The tour operates rain or shine, and you can choose your departure time when you book. Public transportation is nearby if you need it before or after the ride.
