The experience

You start with gin: the juniper plant that traveled from Italian monasteries to London's pharmacies and into modern bars. A live guide walks you through the aromas and flavors of an exclusive selection (established distilleries and niche products most gin lovers never encounter) with matching tonic water and a unique gin cocktail tasting. The spirits alone are worth over €200.

Then rum takes over. Pirates, the East India Company, Caribbean trade routes. The guide explains why rums are classified as English, Spanish or French, and how they're actually made. You taste your way through that history with insider knowledge most rum enthusiasts don't know. Halfway through, you get to build your own long drink: you pick the spirit, learn the mixology, and drink what you made.

The tasting happens in a restaurant, so when the 2.5 hours wrap up, you can stay for dinner if you want. Just book a table when you reserve the tasting. Snacks and soft drinks come with the experience. The location is fully wheelchair accessible, and public transportation stops nearby.
