Bora Bora ATV & Jet Ski Combo: Full Day with Motu Lunch
Ride the crater on an ATV, jet ski the lagoon, lunch cooked on a motu
You ride an ATV up through Bora Bora's interior for three hours—crater views, World War II cannons, and a working vanilla plantation where you taste the harvest. Then you switch to a jet ski for two hours circling the island and the lagoon center. Lunch is grilled fish and chicken on a motu, with local sweets and coconut. A native guide leads both legs, sharing island stories and culture. The full day means you're not rushed; you get both the high ground and the water in one outing.

The Experience
Hands grip the handlebars as you climb toward the crater rim, the engine cutting through jungle and open ridge. That's the first half of the day on Bora Bora—a guided three-hour ATV ride that starts in the lowlands and works up to views of the ancient volcano's center, with Raiatea and Tahaa sitting on the horizon. Your guide, Manu, is native to the island, so the ride isn't just about the terrain; he stops at the American cannons left from World War II and takes you through an authentic vanilla plantation where you'll see how Tahitian vanilla gets pollinated, harvested, and turned into the products you taste at the end. The roads are off-road, genuinely steep in places, and the panoramas don't feel manufactured—they're just what the island looks like when you're up there.
After the ATV tour winds down, you switch gears entirely. The jet ski leg is two hours, and it's a different kind of speed—you're circling the island on water, stopping at a motu (a small islet) and heading toward the center of the volcano from the lagoon side. Your jet ski guide is also from Bora Bora, and between the throttle and the stops, he shares the stories and legends that locals actually know. The water is the color you've seen in photos, except you're moving through it, not looking at it from a boat.
Lunch lands on a small motu in Niau, where a table sits under shelters and a coco show happens—someone cracks open a coconut right in front of you. The food is grilled fish and chicken, rice salad, raw fish, poe (a coconut-based dessert), and ipo (another local sweet). Juice, Coke, and water come with it. By the time you're eating, you've been moving for most of the day, so the meal hits different. The whole experience runs full-day, which is why it works—you're not rushing between activities or waiting for the next thing to start.
One quad and one jet ski are shared between two people, so if you're traveling as a couple or with a friend, you're splitting the cost and the ride. The team operates seven days a week, and they've built this around groups small enough that the guide can actually talk to you, not just point and move on. Vanilla lemonade, water bottles, and refreshing towels are included throughout.
