The experience

The game works entirely through a mobile app that guides your team to different locations around Montpellier. At each stop, you'll encounter witnesses to the accusation and face puzzles or missions that reveal clues about whether the accused villager is guilty or innocent. The app handles all the navigation and storytelling: no human guide, no printed materials, just your phone and the city around you. You move through real streets and neighborhoods, so you're discovering Montpellier's layout and landmarks while you play.

A team can be anywhere from two to six people, and everyone needs access to the app on a single device or their own phones. The whole experience takes around two hours, though you can pause and resume whenever you want since you're playing on your own schedule. If a puzzle stumps you, the 24/7 online support team can nudge you in the right direction without spoiling the answer. The game is available any time of day or night, so you can start at 3 p.m. or 10 p.m.: whatever fits your plans.
