The catamaran anchors in a cove you choose from the water, not from a map.

Snorkel and paddle from the maxi-catamaran Iladora, anchored in a wild cove off Hyères. You board at Saint-Pierre port, sail the Hyères coast for an hour, then spend two hours in a bay the captain picks based on weather and sea state: snorkeling, paddleboarding on the nets, or simply floating. An aperitif is served on board. The crew speaks English and French.

The experience

The catamaran leaves Saint-Pierre port at 2pm and heads toward the Bay of Leoube, Fort de Brégançon, or Porquerolles, depending on conditions that morning. You're not choosing the destination in advance. The captain reads the weather and the water and picks the cove that will be calmest and clearest when you arrive. That flexibility is the whole point. The coast reveals itself gradually: preserved landscapes, secret coves, water clear enough to see through before you're even in it.

At 3pm the catamaran anchors and time slows down. You have snorkeling kits (masks and snorkels) and paddle boards waiting. Some people drift on the nets in the sun. Some paddle out. Some snorkel the shallows around the boat. There's no schedule inside the anchorage, no group activity, no instruction beyond what the crew offers if you ask. At 4pm an aperitif, a planter punch, arrives on board, and you drink it facing the water. At 5pm the boat turns back toward Hyères, and you're back at the port by 6pm.

The crew is professional and bilingual. Soft drinks come from an onboard ecological fountain. Everything is included: no bar tab, no rental fees, no surprise charges. The afternoon is built around doing nothing in particular, which is harder to arrange than it sounds.

What’s included

  • Snorkeling kits with masks and snorkels.
  • paddle boards.
  • an aperitif (planter punch) served on board.
  • soft drinks via an onboard ecological fountain.
  • professional crew guidance in English or French.
  • one planned anchorage in a wild cove.

Can children come?

Yes. Ticket types: Youth (12 to 17 years); Child (4 to 11 years); Infant (under 4).

What's the water like for snorkeling off Hyères in the Bay of Leoube?

The Bay of Leoube is one of the three possible anchorages, chosen by the captain based on conditions. The operator describes the Hyères coast as revealing preserved landscapes and crystal-clear waters, with wild coves and secret beaches, though visibility and marine life vary by season and weather.

Do I need snorkeling experience to join this afternoon?

No experience is required. The crew provides snorkeling kits with masks and snorkels, and you can snorkel at your own pace or skip it entirely and paddle or rest on the nets instead.

Where exactly do we anchor, and can I choose?

The captain chooses the anchorage from three options (the Bay of Leoube, Fort de Brégançon, or Porquerolles) based on weather and sea conditions that day. You don't select it in advance, and the flexibility is what allows the crew to find the calmest, clearest water.

Is the aperitif alcoholic, and what if I don't drink?

The aperitif is a planter punch (alcoholic). Soft drinks are available from the onboard ecological fountain, and no one under 18 is served alcohol.

What time does the boat leave Hyères, and when am I back?

Boarding starts at 1:50pm at Saint-Pierre port, the boat departs at 2pm, and you return to port at 6pm, making the full outing 4 hours on the water.
