The experience

What makes this different from a group boat is the skipper's willingness to anchor where you want to spend time. You're not watching the Lérins Islands from a moving deck. You're swimming in the turquoise water off Île Sainte-Marguerite, where the Royal Fort sits on the shore, and the skipper holds position while you snorkel the underwater eco-museum of submerged sculptures. The boat itself is a Saxdor 320, a Finnish design built for stability and comfort: Scandinavian lines, shaded lounge areas, a cabin with toilet, outdoor living spaces and a premium sound system. Up to eight people fit without crowding, so a family or a group of friends has room to spread across the sunbeds or move around the deck.

Snorkeling gear is ready for each passenger. You don't bring your own or rent it separately. A paddle board is on board, a floaty mattress floats in the water, and if you want to try the optional Seabob, a handheld underwater scooter, the skipper can arrange it. The 4-hour window is the standard, but you can request a longer day if the group wants more time at anchor. Departures run morning, afternoon or sunset, so you can fit the boat around the rest of your Cannes itinerary. Bottled water and a bottle of wine come with the booking.

The boat leaves from Cannes, so there's no transfer time to a distant port. You board, the skipper plots the route based on conditions and what your group wants to do, and you're on the water within minutes. Île Saint-Honorât, home to a monastery and vineyards, passes during the cruise. Île Sainte-Marguerite is where you'll anchor and spend most of the time in the water.

Top questions

What happens if it rains?

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.

Can we choose where to stop and how long to stay at each spot?

Yes. The skipper tailors the route to what your group wants to do. You tell him whether you want more time snorkeling at Île Sainte-Marguerite, whether you'd like to cruise past Île Saint-Honorât or anchor there, and how long you want to spend on the water. The 4-hour booking is the baseline. Longer days are available on request.

What's the underwater sculpture museum like?

The eco-museum is a collection of submerged sculptures off Île Sainte-Marguerite that you explore while snorkeling. The skipper anchors in that area so you can swim down and see the pieces. The water is clear enough to make out the details from the surface.

Is snorkeling gear included, or do we need to bring our own?

Snorkeling gear for each passenger is included in the booking. You don't need to bring equipment or pay extra to rent it.

How many people can fit on the boat?

The Saxdor 320 carries up to eight guests comfortably, with room on the sunbeds, in the shaded lounge and around the deck. Smaller groups have even more space to move around.

What time of day works best for this trip?

Morning, afternoon and sunset departures are all available. Morning tends to have the calmest water and the clearest visibility for snorkeling. Sunset offers a different mood on the water. Pick the time that fits the rest of your day in Cannes.

What happens if the weather turns bad?

The Saxdor is a stable, modern boat built for the Mediterranean, but rough conditions can affect visibility and comfort in the water. Confirm the forecast with the skipper when you book. If conditions are poor, you can reschedule to another day.
