The experience

You arrive at Planet Exotica and move through the park at your own pace. The tropical greenhouse and desert greenhouse hold live reptiles from around the world arranged in their natural habitats: snakes, crocodiles, alligators and others displayed as they would live. The Japanese Garden sits nearby with bonsais over 100 years old and an olive tree that has stood for more than 1,800 years, a scale that shifts how you think about time in a garden.

For younger visitors, the Jurassic Garden offers full-size dinosaur models and a mini-animal farm where children can get closer to smaller animals. A pavilion reserved for children runs different courses throughout the day, so families can break up the walk with structured activities. The whole park spreads across 7.6 hectares, enough to spend two to three hours moving between greenhouses, gardens and exhibits without feeling rushed or crowded into a single route.

Public transportation stops nearby, and all areas and surfaces are wheelchair accessible, so you don't need a car to reach the park or move through it. Strollers and prams work on the paths, and service animals are allowed throughout.
