The experience

What makes a perfume smell like itself, and how do you build one from scratch? The workshop opens with the history of fragrance and how perfume composition has evolved, then moves straight into the sensory work: you'll learn to recognize woody, floral, citrus and spicy scent families, and how they interact. The guide walks you through selecting the individual notes that appeal to you, then shows you how to balance them so no single scent overwhelms the blend. You work with laboratory equipment in a protective apron, composing your fragrance step by step until it reaches the harmony you're after.

The two-hour session ends with the thing you came for: a pretty glass vial filled with the perfume you imagined and made. You leave with that bottle, the knowledge of how fragrance actually works, and the memory of having created something you'll recognize every time you wear it. The workshop is wheelchair accessible, and a live guide conducts the session in English or French.
