The experience

You arrive at Place Stanislas, the 18th-century square built by Stanislas Leszczyński, former King of Poland. Your guide meets you at a local spot overlooking the square's classical architecture and golden gates, where the apéro begins: quiche lorraine, artisanal cheeses, regional charcuterie and seasonal specialties, paired with two drinks of your choice. The guide shares the stories and traditions behind what you're tasting and the square itself: how it was built, what it meant to the city, what it means now.

From there you walk into the Old Town, the Vieille Ville, a maze of narrow streets and hidden courtyards where medieval and Renaissance buildings still stand. You end the tour at a real French fromagerie, a cheese shop, discovering more local cheeses and charcuterie. The whole walk takes two hours. Your guide speaks English or French and keeps the group small.
