The experience

The castle appears first: white spires catching the afternoon light as you walk down Main Street U.S.A., and suddenly the park spreads out in five directions. Disneyland Paris gives you a single day to move through Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland and Discoveryland, each one a different story. You choose either Disneyland Park with its classic Disney rides and character meet-and-greets, or Walt Disney Studios Park, where you step into Frozen's Arendelle, join the Avengers, and move through Pixar worlds that feel less like queues and more like walking into the films themselves.

The park sits just 35 minutes from central Paris on the RER A train, so you're not traveling hours to get there. Your ticket gets you in the gate. After that, the app, free to download, lets you book restaurants ahead of time and choose Disney Premier Access if you want to skip the regular queue on the most popular attractions. It's the kind of thing that sounds small until you're standing in front of a ride at 2pm and realize you could have been somewhere else entirely. Character meet-and-greets happen throughout the day, and if you stay until evening, the nighttime spectaculars (Disney Tales of Magic at Disneyland Park or Disney Cascade of Lights at Studios, with fireworks and water screens) wrap the day up in a way that makes the crowds feel worth it.

You'll need to bring ID. The ticket itself can be printed or shown on your phone. If you're traveling with children under 13, they need an adult with them in the parks. Some attractions have height or health restrictions, so it's worth checking the app before you line up. The parks do close certain shows and restaurants seasonally without notice, and from August 8–23, 2026, the RER A has replacement buses running, so add buffer time if you're planning that week.
