The experience
You start from your Coral Coast hotel and drive to Nadi, where the tour opens at Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple. A short guided visit explains Hindu beliefs and the temple's role in Fiji's spiritual landscape. From there, you move to the local fruit market: a working market where vendors sell root crops, tropical fruits and vegetables. You can ask questions, shop if you want to, and grab a takeaway meal if you're hungry (at your own cost). A local shop stop gives you a chance to refresh before the next leg.
The tour then takes you through a traditional Fijian village where your ancestors first landed. This is the cultural heart of the day: a guide walks you through village life and explains the customs and traditions that shape daily life here. Afterward, you head to the Garden of the Sleeping Giant for a guided tour of its orchid collections. A jungle bush walk winds through the garden, and the tour ends with a refreshing tropical fruit juice before you leave.
The final stop is Sabeto Hot Springs and Mud Pool. You soak in the mud pool for a skin treatment, then rinse off in the warm natural hot spring water. Massages are available if you want one (extra cost). The tour wraps up with your return to your hotel. Bring a towel and a change of clothes for the mud pool and hot springs: the operator recommends it. The whole day runs about seven hours.
