Yorkshire Dales self-guided tour: App 7-day pass
Unlock secret spots and solve challenges across the Yorkshire Dales on your schedule
A self-guided treasure hunt and quiz game across Yorkshire Dales National Park using a smartphone app with GPS technology. You visit over 100 destinations, solve clues, earn points and climb the Travel League leaderboard: all at your own pace over 7 days. One ticket covers your entire group on a single device, with flexible start times and free cancellation up to 24 hours before.
The experience
Over 100 destinations and challenges are pinned on your phone's map the moment you log in. You navigate independently using GPS, choosing which hidden gems and must-see spots to visit in whatever order and at whatever pace suits your day. As you arrive at each location, you play the Big Travel Quiz, solve treasure hunt clues and complete challenges to earn points. The more you explore, the higher you climb in the nationwide Travel League, and each season winners take home prizes. Whether you're driving, walking around town or hiking across the countryside, the app guides you every step.
One ticket works for your whole group sharing a single device, so a family or group of friends books once and explores together. You can start anytime during your 7-day window and cancel free up to 24 hours before if plans change. The app handles all the planning stress, nudging you off the beaten track toward local secrets and unsung destinations you'd likely miss on your own. There's no guidebook, no fixed route and no guide keeping pace. Just you, your phone and the freedom to spend a morning on one valley or race through five stops in an afternoon.
The experience suits all fitness levels because you decide the intensity. Families with young children can tackle a handful of nearby challenges in a couple of hours. Serious explorers can spend full days chasing the highest scores across the park. The variety of destinations means there's something for every age and interest, and the competitive element of the Travel League keeps the experience fresh even if you return to the same spots.
