Hand-feed alpacas on farm trails through certified organic countryside.

A private 1-hour alpaca walk at Mill Farm Glamping in Poulshot, where you're paired with 10 alpacas to trek through 100 acres of Wiltshire farmland, hand-feed your walking buddy, and spot wildlife along the way. The walk is guided, suited to all fitness levels, and available on different trail routes depending on ability. Free parking is included.

The Experience

You meet your guide at the start and are introduced to 10 alpacas before setting out on one of the farm trails that wind through the certified organic countryside. The walk lasts up to an hour and takes you past wildlife like deer, depending on which route suits your group's abilities. At the end, you hand-feed your alpaca: the part most people come back for.

This is a private walk, so your group has the alpacas and the guide to yourselves. That means no crowded paddocks or shared trails. You move at your own pace and stop when something catches your eye. The farm sits on 100 acres, so there's room to actually walk rather than circle a small area. Families, couples, hen parties and corporate groups all book these. The operator notes they're good for all ages and fitness levels because different trails exist for different abilities.

Mill Farm Glamping is the base, and if you want to turn the walk into a longer stay, you can book accommodation on the site. Free car parking is available when you arrive.
