Four London Landmarks & the Crown Jewels in a Single Day

You spend a full day moving through London's four most visited landmarks — Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, Tower of London, and the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace — with an expert guide handling the history and the logistics. Entry fees, the coach, and a River Thames cruise are all included; Wi-Fi and charging keep you connected between stops. If you add the London Eye, you finish with sunset views from Europe's tallest observation wheel. The fixed itinerary and included transport mean you don't arrange tickets, timing, or navigation yourself.

9h

Step-by-step itinerary

  • Panoramic city tour by luxury coach
  • Watch Changing of the Guard ceremony
  • Guided tour of St Paul's Cathedral
  • Visit the Tower of London
  • Scenic River Thames cruise
  • Optional London Eye ride

The Experience

The coach pulls away from your pickup point and London opens up in front of you. Your guide is already talking — stories about the Albert Memorial, Westminster Abbey, the dome of St Paul's Cathedral rising above the roofline. You're moving through the city with a Blue Badge guide who knows the layers of it, the history stacked on top of history, and you're not stopping to figure out the Tube or hunt for a café. The coach has Wi-Fi and USB charging, so you can sit back or stay connected. This is the shape of the day: you see, you listen, you move on.

The first real stop is Buckingham Palace, where the Changing of the Guard happens on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays — soldiers in bearskin caps and scarlet tunics, a regimental band, the whole ceremony of it. If the Guard isn't changing that day, you'll see the same ritual at Horse Guards Parade instead. After that, you walk into St Paul's Cathedral on a guided tour. The dome is 366 feet high, took 35 years to build, and the space inside is the kind of quiet that makes you stop talking. Your guide walks you through the history — Christopher Wren's masterpiece, the way it survived the Blitz — and you get time to stand under that dome yourself.

The Tower of London comes next. Almost a thousand years of it — William the Conqueror built it in 1066, and the Crown Jewels are locked behind glass in the White Tower. Your entry is included, so you don't queue separately. The fortress is in the middle of the city, and the guide has already told you the stories: the prisoners, the executions, the myth and the blood. You walk through it at your own pace once you're inside, but you know what you're looking at because of what you've heard.

At the end of the tour, you head down to Tower Pier and board a boat for a one-way River Thames cruise. The boat takes you west toward Westminster Pier, past the Houses of Parliament, and you see London from the water — a view you don't get from the street. The cruise ticket is open-dated, so if you'd rather skip it on the day and use it another time, you can finish at the Tower instead. If you've chosen the London Eye upgrade, you'll head there around 6:30pm after the cruise — 135 metres up, 30-minute rotation, views of Big Ben and Buckingham Palace and the whole city spreading out below.

The tour runs about eight hours. You'll need a moderate level of fitness for the walking — St Paul's has stairs, the Tower has uneven ground, and you're moving between stops. St Paul's closes on Sundays and for special services, so on those days you'll spend longer at the Tower instead and see the Cathedral from outside. Bring your phone for the London Eye barcode if you've added that option; the ticket is for one visit only and scans at entry.
