Isle of Man Self-Guided Tour App: Hidden Gems Treasure Hunt

One ticket covers your whole group for a week of independent exploring.

A self-guided GPS tour of Isle of Man using a smartphone app to navigate over 100 destinations and hidden gems across the island. You solve treasure hunt clues, answer quiz questions, and earn points as you explore at your own pace for seven days, with one ticket shared across your group or family. Start anytime, cancel free up to 24 hours before, and compete in the Travel League to win prizes as you climb the nationwide rankings.

The Experience

The app does the planning for you. Instead of following a fixed route or a guide's schedule, you see hundreds of map pins on your screen marking destinations, challenges and hidden spots across Isle of Man. You pick which ones to visit, in whatever order makes sense for your day, whether you're driving, walking around town or hiking across the countryside. The GPS guides you to each location, and when you arrive you complete a challenge: solve a clue, answer a quiz question, or simply check in. Each one earns you points that climb you up the Travel League, a nationwide ranking where you compete against other explorers for seasonal prizes.

The seven-day pass means you're not rushed. You can start whenever you land or wake up, explore for an hour or a full afternoon, and come back to it tomorrow. One ticket works on a single device but your whole group travels together: friends and family share the same app, the same challenges, and the same points. There's no cancellation penalty if plans change. You get your money back up to 24 hours before you start. The app works for all fitness levels, so whether someone wants a gentle walk around a village or a longer hike into the countryside, the same ticket covers both.

The hidden gems are the draw. The app nudges you off the beaten track to places you'd likely miss in a guidebook: local secrets and unsung destinations scattered across the island. You're not watching a demonstration or listening to a recorded narration. You're moving through the landscape under your own steam, solving the puzzle of where to go next and what each place is about. It's a different kind of tour: one where you set the pace and the app sets the challenge.

How does one ticket work for a group or family?
