After breakfast in the onsite cafe, you'll cover tackle, rigs, baits and casting techniques on land, then spend the afternoon putting it all into practice on one of the fishery's lakes. The session is tailored to your level, whether you're starting out or refining existing skills.

The experience

The day starts with breakfast in the onsite cafe, then moves straight to one of the fishery's lakes. The first part of the session is classroom-style: you'll work through tackle, rigs, baits and techniques that form a solid foundation for more effective fishing. The instructor draws on 35 years of professional angling to show you what actually works and why, rather than guessing at what to try.

The second half shifts to the water. You'll practice different casting techniques, learn how to feed the swim to attract fish, and focus on the process of actually catching them. Throughout the afternoon you're free to photograph your catches, and if you've brought your own tackle, you can keep fishing after the formal session ends. The whole experience is tailored to where you're starting from: new to fishing or brushing up on skills you already have.
