St. Catherine's Monastery sits at the foot of Mount Sinai and has operated continuously for roughly 1,400 years. Inside its walls are an eleventh-century mosque and an Orthodox Greek monastery built like a citadel, with a church that holds reliquaries of Saint Catherine. The holy valley—the site where, according to tradition, God told Moses to remove his shoes because he stood on holy ground—is also within the monastery grounds. You'll spend around 2 hours on the monastery tour with your guide before the coach returns you to your hotel, arriving around 1 PM.
