The experience
The Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square holds one of the world's largest collections of ancient Egyptian artifacts: over 120,000 items spanning statues, jewelry, mummies, papyrus and the tomb contents of King Tutankhamun, including his famous golden death mask. A standard visit runs one to two hours. Pre-booking with a QR code means you skip the queue at the entrance. The code is authorized by Egypt's Ministry of Tourism, so when you present it to staff on arrival, they scan it and you walk straight in. Security screening still happens before entry, but the line at the ticket counter disappears.
The booking process works in two steps. When you complete your purchase, you get an immediate QR confirmation. This is proof of your reservation, not your entrance ticket. One day before your visit, the supplier sends you the actual entrance QR code, also in QR format. If you book on the same day as your visit, they'll contact you directly and send the valid code within two hours. On the day itself, bring the final QR code to the museum, present it at the entrance, and the staff will scan it to grant you access. If any staff member tells you the ticket isn't valid, contact your supplier right away and don't pay anything extra.
Three booking options are available. The basic QR skip-the-line ticket gets you entry alone. You can also add a transfer from your hotel and a live guide in English or German, or book the transfer without the guide. The guide option is your choice at checkout depending on whether you want someone to walk you through the collection or prefer to explore at your own pace.
What’s included

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and German.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (5 to 11 years); Infant (under 5): free.
Can I use my booking confirmation as my entrance ticket?
No. Your immediate booking confirmation is proof of purchase only. The Ministry of Tourism-authorized QR entrance code arrives one day before your visit (or within two hours if you book the same day), and that is the code you present at the museum door.
What's actually inside the Egyptian Museum?
The collection includes over 120,000 ancient Egyptian artifacts: statues, jewelry, mummies, papyrus scrolls, and the complete tomb of King Tutankhamun with his golden death mask. A typical visit takes one to two hours to move through the highlights.
Do I still have to go through security?
Yes. Security screening happens before you enter the museum, but your QR skip-the-line ticket means you avoid the queue at the ticket counter itself. You go straight to the entrance with your code.
What if I book on the same day as my visit?
The supplier will contact you directly and send your valid entrance QR code within two hours of your booking, so you can still visit the same day if timing allows.
Is a guide included, or is that optional?
A guide is optional. You can book the QR ticket alone, add a live guide in English or German, or add a transfer with or without a guide. You choose at checkout which option suits you.
