The experience

The tour starts with a pickup from Aswan Airport, train station or bus station and a half-day introduction to the city: the Aswan High Dam, Philae Temple and the unfinished obelisk, lunch at a local restaurant, then a felucca ride across the Nile to your hotel. You stay overnight at a three-star property in Aswan, with breakfast included the next morning.

Day two begins at 4:00 am with a breakfast box and the drive to Abu Simbel, where the rock-cut temples of Ramesses II and Queen Nefertari (built around 1290 BC) dominate the landscape. After touring the site, you return to Aswan by 1:30 pm, have lunch, check out, and board a first-class train for the three-hour journey to Luxor. A representative meets you at the train station with a name sign and transfers you to your hotel for the night.

The final day is a full tour of Luxor's west and east banks. After breakfast, your guide meets you at 8:00 am and drives 30 minutes to the Valley of the Kings, where your ticket covers three tombs and your guide recommends which ones to enter. You then visit the funeral temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon, break for lunch at a recommended restaurant, then cross to the east bank to see Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple before checkout. Dropoff is at Luxor train station, airport, or another location you choose. Private transfers to Hurghada or Marsa Allam can be arranged.
