The experience
You leave Quito in the morning and ride south through the Avenue of the Volcanoes, stopping along the way to taste traditional sweets and regional foods from local vendors. The landscape shifts as you descend toward Baños, a town built into a river valley where the Pastaza cuts through cloud forest. By afternoon you're walking to the first waterfall: a gentle 15-minute path to Agoyán, where you spend roughly 40 minutes exploring the pool and taking photos, with time for coffee if you want it.
Day one continues to two more waterfalls. Bride's Veil cascades down a sheer rock face above the Pastaza River. You can stay on the viewpoint or hike down 15 minutes to the base and back up. The choice is yours. If you want more adrenaline, you can zipline across or ride the tarabita cable car instead. Then you head to Casa del Árbol, where the Swing at the End of the World hangs from a massive tree overlooking Tungurahua Volcano and the valley below. The gardens are well-kept and the views are the reason people come here. You get time to swing, photograph and sit with it. That night you stay at Hotel & Spa la Isla de Baños with breakfast included the next morning.
Day two is the flexibility. You visit Pailón del Diablo (a powerful dam and waterfall), and then you choose. Rafting down the Pastaza, canyoning down rock faces, mountain biking the valley roads, rappelling, or motorcycle rental if you want to roam. Or you skip the sports entirely and spend the day in the thermal hot springs or walking the town. The guide can book adventure rentals and sports on the spot if you decide once you're there. Then you ride back to Quito, arriving in the evening.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Spanish.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (3 to 11 years). Children under 3 can't be included in the booking.
What's the Swing at the End of the World actually like when you get there?
It's a rope swing hung from a massive tree at Casa del Árbol, positioned so you swing out over the valley with Tungurahua Volcano directly in front of you. The gardens around it are maintained, and you have time to swing, photograph and sit with the view. It's the main reason people visit that stop.
How much hiking is involved on day one?
Three short walks: a gentle 15-minute path to Agoyán waterfall; an optional 15-minute descent to the base of Bride's Veil (with 30 minutes back up) if you choose the hike instead of the cable car or zipline; and a walk through the gardens at Casa del Árbol. None of it is strenuous, and you set your own pace at each stop.
Can I choose a different adventure sport on day two, or do I have to pick one?
You choose: rafting, canyoning, biking, rappelling, motorcycle rental, or none of them. You can also spend day two in the hot springs or exploring Baños on foot. The guide can arrange rentals and sports bookings once you're there if you decide after you arrive.
Is lunch included in the tour?
Breakfast is included at your hotel on day two, but lunch and dinner are not. You have free options to choose from in Baños and along the route, so you can eat what you want.
