This is a 7-hour off-road jeep tour of Curaçao's Bandabou region, accessible only by 4×4, with a live guide in English or Dutch, hotel pickup, and stops at Kueba di Brua cave, Museum Savonet in Christoffel National Park, and a swim at the north coast. Lunch, water, snorkeling gear and a granola bar are included. Children from age 6 are welcome; the tour is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, pregnancy, or cardiovascular conditions.

The Experience

The jeep leaves the paved roads and heads into the sandy plains of San Pedro, where the terrain opens up to the far corners of Bandabou — the kind of landscape that requires a 4×4 to reach. This is not a gentle drive; the vehicle climbs and crosses ground that no regular car can handle, and that isolation is the point. The guide navigates the route and explains what you are passing through, speaking English or Dutch depending on your group.

Along the way, you stop at Kueba di Brua, a cave with its own history that the guide walks you through. Then comes Museum Savonet, the newest museum on the island, tucked inside Christoffel National Park. The guide tells the story of the original inhabitants and the connections between people, nature and culture — the kind of context that makes the landscape itself make sense. By midday, you are standing at the rugged north coast at Bocas, the westernmost point of the island, and the water is clear enough to swim in. Snorkeling gear is provided, and a picnic sandwich lunch and bottled water keep you fueled through the afternoon.

The whole day runs 7 hours from pickup to return. The terrain is rough enough that the tour is not suitable for travelers with spinal injuries, pregnancy, or poor cardiovascular health, but it welcomes all fitness levels and children from age 6 onward.
