The experience

The jeep leaves the paved roads and heads into the sandy plains of San Pedro, where the terrain opens up to the far corners of Bandabou: the kind of landscape that requires a 4×4 to reach. This is not a gentle drive. The vehicle climbs and crosses ground that no regular car can handle, and that isolation is the point. The guide navigates the route and explains what you are passing through, speaking English or Dutch depending on your group.

Along the way, you stop at Kueba di Brua, a cave with its own history that the guide walks you through. Then comes Museum Savonet, the newest museum on the island, tucked inside Christoffel National Park.
