The experience

The day starts with pickup from your hotel or house, then heads straight to the Mal País canopy where you zipline with views across the forest. After about 45 minutes on the lines, you return to the ATVs and ride through trails surrounded by rivers, mountains and small towns. The guide leads the way on terrain that stays close to nature without paved roads.

The final stop is Montezuma, where a short walk into the mountain brings you to Montezuma Waterfall. The whole experience runs between four and eight hours depending on how the day unfolds: longer if you linger at any of the stops or if the group moves at a slower pace. You handle the ATV yourself, so comfort with basic vehicle operation matters. The canopy equipment is provided and fitted before you go up.
