You meet on the boardwalk in Playas del Coco in front of Restaurante El Ancla — there's a big tree and a concrete bench, so you can't miss it. At 1:30 pm the catamaran leaves the dock and heads north along Costa Rica's Gold Coast. The boat is built for this: open, spacious, and stable enough that you're not gripping the rail the whole time. The crew scans the water for dolphins, whales, turtles, rays, anything moving.
