The experience
The day runs nine hours and covers five distinct experiences, each one a separate station. You start with the canopy tour, gliding through the forest on a series of lines, then move to the water slide: a 1200-foot descent that ends in a pool. After that comes lunch, a casado with your choice of protein (pork, chicken or fish), rice, beans, tortillas, cheese and salad, plus natural juice. The energy from food fuels the horseback ride that takes you to the natural spa, where the real payoff is time soaking in hot water pools and covering your skin with therapeutic volcanic mud.
Hotel pickup is included for selected hotels in the area. Your guide speaks English or Spanish and handles the route and timing. Transportation between each stop, entrance fees for all five activities, and the guide's expertise are all part of the booking. Lunch is built in, so you're not hunting for food mid-day. The operator asks that you bring a swimming suit, hiking shoes, sandals, a change of clothes, sunscreen, a camera and money for any extras.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English and Spanish.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (7 to 10 years); Infant (6 years). Under 6: they can't be included in the booking.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What is the 1200-foot water slide like?
The water slide is a single long descent into a pool at the base. It is one of five activities in the day, so you spend part of the morning on it rather than the whole visit.
Do I need to be an experienced rider for the horseback part?
The horseback riding is part of a full-day activity designed for mixed fitness levels. Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness to manage the pace and the variety of activities, but the riding itself is not a technical skill.
Can I bring my six-year-old?
Children are welcome from age six and must be accompanied by an adult throughout the day. The combination of activities (canopy, water slide, riding and hot springs) is built to appeal to families, though the pace and physical demands mean younger children need an adult's close attention.
Is lunch included, and can I request vegetarian?
Lunch is included and consists of a casado with your choice of protein, rice, beans, tortillas, cheese and salad, plus natural juice. A vegetarian option is available. Let the operator know at the time of booking if you need it.
What should I wear and bring?
Bring a swimming suit, hiking shoes, sandals, a change of clothes, binoculars, a camera, sunscreen and money. You'll move between water activities, riding and hot springs, so layers and quick-dry clothing help.
How does pickup work from Playa Flamingo hotels?
Hotel pickup and drop-off are included for selected hotels in the area. Confirm your hotel is on the pickup list when you book, and the guide will collect you in the morning and return you at the end of the nine-hour day.
