The experience
The day starts with the canopy section: a professional guide fits you with a safety harness and climbing gear, then walks you through a short briefing before you head to the first platform. Ten cables connect giant tree platforms across 1,045 meters of cloud forest, strung between three short jungle trails, two hanging bridges and the Tarzan swing. The cables let you move through the treetops at the height where birds, monkeys and sloths actually live, and the view down into the hidden valley opens up with each run. The Tarzan swing (a pendulum drop from one platform to another) is the moment most people remember.
After lunch, you walk to a trestle bridge 150 meters above La Balsa river for the bungee jump. A certified Jump Master oversees the setup and the leap itself. You step off and fall for the adrenaline rush before the cord catches. The whole experience runs five hours from hotel pickup to drop-off back in central San José.
Weight limits apply: you must fall between 50 and 100 kilograms to jump. The activity runs in all weather, so bring clothes that can handle rain and mud. A vegetarian meal option is available if you request it when booking. Guides speak English, Spanish, Portuguese or Hebrew depending on the departure.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Hebrew.
How many ziplines do I actually ride on during the canopy part?
Ten cables connect the platforms across the cloud forest canopy, each one taking you deeper into the treetops. You also walk three short jungle trails between them and cross two hanging bridges, so the zipline section alone covers 1,045 meters total.
What happens if I'm too heavy or too light for the bungee jump?
The bungee jump requires a body weight between 50 and 100 kilograms. If you fall outside that range, you can still do the full canopy ziplining section, but you won't be able to jump.
Does the price include getting to and from my hotel in San José?
Hotel pickup and drop-off from central San José are included, along with the professional guide, all safety gear, lunch and taxes.
What if the weather turns bad? Does the activity still run?
The activity operates in all weather conditions. Dress in clothes that can handle rain and mud, and bring a change if you're concerned about getting wet on the cables.
Can I do this if I'm not in great shape?
You need at least a moderate level of physical fitness. The day involves walking jungle trails, climbing to platforms and the physical intensity of the jump and zipline rides. It's not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health.
