The experience
Can you really see Corcovado in a single day? No, and that's the whole point of this 2-day trip. A one-day tour rushes you through. This one lets you stay at Sirena Ranger Station and hike when the rainforest is actually alive. The boat leaves Sierpe at 5:00 AM, takes two hours along the coast, and lands you at Sirena by 7:15 AM. After you drop your bags at the station, your guide takes you straight into the jungle. The morning hike runs until around 11:30 AM, when you're back for lunch. The afternoon hike lasts roughly three hours, finishing around 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Dinner is at the station with your group and guide.
Day two starts before dawn, around 5:00 AM, because that's when nocturnal and crepuscular animals are still moving. The pre-dawn hike runs two to two and a half hours, landing you back at the station for breakfast around 7:30 AM. After you rest and freshen up, you head back out for a final hike of two and a half to three hours. By midday you're back at the station, you collect your belongings, and the boat carries you back to Sierpe. The guide speaks English or Spanish, and children from age five are welcome.
Breakfast and dinner are included at the station. Bring your own lunch or purchase it there. The boat ride is the transport in and out: no driving, no transfers to arrange. The only thing not covered is tips for your guide.
What’s included

How much time do you actually spend hiking each day?
Day one has two hikes: a morning session until 11:30 AM, then an afternoon hike of roughly three hours starting after lunch. Day two starts with a pre-dawn hike of two to two and a half hours, followed by a final hike of two and a half to three hours after breakfast.

Why does the second day start so early?
