The experience

You're picked up at the Cartagena dock at 9am and board a private boat built for groups. The route runs through the Colombian Caribbean's most visited islands (Isla Grande, Caño Ratón, La Piscina, Cholón and Aguazul), but the order and how long you linger at each one is yours to decide. The boat has a professional sound system that connects via Bluetooth, so you can play your own music while the water passes beneath you. Snorkeling gear and lifevests are on board, and the captain and skipper handle navigation and safety.

The boat carries 13 kilos of ice, two 330cc bottles of water per person, and an onboard restroom. You can bring your own snacks, drinks and food, or buy typical island lunch where you stop. The choice is yours. One constraint: once the boat moves past an island, you cannot return to it, so the group needs to agree on the sequence before you leave each stop. The day ends with a return to Cartagena around 5pm.
