The experience

This is a private tour, which means the day belongs to you alone. You pick from options like the Rainbow Rocks in the southwest, the cave houses of Artenara, Tilos de Moya's small tropical forest in the north, or Pico de las Nieves at 1,950 meters: the highest point on the island. The guide builds the route around what matters to you, not around a clock or other groups. You set the pace and the stops adjust to fit it.

The itinerary centers on photography. You'll shoot Roque Nublo, the island's iconic sacred rock, from a location most visitors never find. At Pico de las Nieves you photograph from the top of the island. In Artenara you walk through the town's center to frame the cave houses, the church, and views back toward Roque Nublo and Roque Bentayga. A lunch break happens in a cave restaurant overlooking the mountains. Later you reach the Dragon's Tail, a dramatic viewing point of the west coast cliffs where you can either swim in natural pools or photograph Tenerife island in the distance. Along the way you stop at local markets to taste gold medal–awarded cheese, local sweets, and rum: the kind of food and drink locals actually consume, not a tourist version of it.

The vehicle is air-conditioned and holds up to four people, though the operator recommends groups of three or fewer for total comfort. You get bottled water throughout the day. Every photo you take during the tour is yours. The guide sends them to you by email afterward so you can print them. The tour runs nine hours. Pickup is included. Public transportation options are available nearby if you prefer to meet the guide at a specific location instead.

What is Roque Nublo and why does this tour photograph it from a different angle?

Roque Nublo is Gran Canaria's iconic sacred rock, a massive stone formation that dominates the island's landscape. This tour shoots it from a vantage point unknown to most visitors, giving you a photograph few people have taken before.

Can I choose which stops we visit, or is the route fixed?

You choose. The guide offers options like the Rainbow Rocks, Artenara's cave houses, Tilos de Moya forest, or Pico de las Nieves, and you decide which ones matter to you. The route is built around your interests, not a preset itinerary.

Yes. Every photo taken during the day is sent to you by email afterward, free of charge, so you can print or share them however you like.
