The experience
You start at Parque Arauco mall in Santiago, where the group meets at the Turistik Parking lot. The drive to Valle Nevado takes the morning. You arrive at the ski center in the heart of the Andes with the day ahead of you. The resort is the most modern in Chile and sits at high altitude where snow quality stays reliable through the season: one of the best snow bases in South America.
Shared ski classes run all day, so you either take your first run or work on technique depending on what you choose at checkout. The instructor speaks English, Spanish or Portuguese, and the group stays small enough that instruction actually reaches you. Slope access is included, which means you're not paying separately at the ticket window. You move straight to the lesson and the mountain. Between instruction blocks, you can ski on your own or take another class.
The return trip leaves Valle Nevado in the afternoon and drops you back at Parque Arauco by evening. The whole day runs about ten hours from pickup to return, so you're not racing the light or cutting the experience short. Transport is exclusive to your group, which means no waiting for a shuttle to fill up or stops at other hotels.
