The experience

Ponta Preta Beach is where this evening unfolds: you arrive by private vehicle and step into a glamping tent set up on the sand, decorated and climate-controlled, with views straight out to the water. The tent is yours alone for the duration. As the sun moves toward the horizon, your guide brings out a bottle of wine and appetizers while you settle in. The meal that follows is grilled lobster with Cape Verdean sauce, salad, French fries and rice, then homemade chocolate cake and an assortment of cheeses with nuts, olives and focaccia.

The three-hour window is built around the timing of the sunset itself, so the light and the meal arrive together. Everything (the setup, the food, the service, the transportation to and from your hotel) is part of the booking. You show up and the evening is already arranged. The tent stays cool even as the evening settles, and the space is intimate because it is sized for two.
