The experience

The tour starts at St. Lawrence Market, where you have time to browse the vendors and grab food before the group moves into the downtown core. From there, the route passes the Hockey Hall of Fame, Union Station and the Fairmont Royal York (a historic luxury hotel in the heart of the city), so you see the architecture and landmarks without stopping at each one. You'll walk through Nathan Phillips Square to see Toronto City Hall, the reflecting pool and the Peace Garden, then continue past Maple Leaf Square before heading to the CN Tower.

At the CN Tower, you ride the glass elevator up to the LookOut Level and take in panoramic views of the city and Lake Ontario. The observation deck sits 346 metres above the ground, so the scale of what you see shifts completely once you're up there. After coming back down, the group walks along the Toronto Waterfront to the dock.

The tour finishes with a Harbour Cruise where you float past the skyline and see the city from the water. The cruise is seasonal. From October through May it's replaced by a visit to Casa Loma, the castle-like mansion in the city's northwest. Either way, the waterfront or the mansion closes out the four hours.

Is this one for you?Pick this if you want downtown landmarks, the CN Tower, and a harbour cruise covered in one guided walk with all transport included between stops.
