Groups stay at 12 or fewer, and pickup is included; the guides are rooted in Newfoundland culture and prioritize personal connection over bus-tour logistics.

The Experience
The tour starts at Cape Spear, where you'll stand at the easternmost point in North America and watch the North Atlantic break against the rocks. The guides point out the WW2 cannons installed to defend the continent and Newfoundland's first lighthouse, built around 1834. From there, the route moves through Petty Harbour, a working fishing village and home to Alan Doyle of Great Big Sea, before climbing Signal Hill to Cabot Tower. The views from up here reach across St. John's, the harbour, the ocean, Fort Amherst and back out to Cape Spear—the kind of vantage that makes the geography stick.
The drive circles the greater St. John's area through Mount Pearl (Newfoundland's second-largest city) and the farming community of Goulds, then heads to the Conception Bay shore for lunch. You'll eat freshly caught seafood cooked by locals at By the Beach in an off-the-beaten-path coastal town overlooking Bell Island, with a stop through the historic fishing village of Portugal Cove on the way. A non-alcoholic beverage comes with the meal; alcoholic drinks are available to order separately.
All tours are hosted by George, Deneen, or Dave Peters—guides who are deeply rooted in Newfoundland's culture and history. The group size caps at 12, which is deliberate: the operator prioritizes the personal connections that form on the outing over the efficiency of a larger bus. Pickup is included, and the vehicle is air-conditioned. Times are approximate by design—the guides won't rush you through a stop.
