The Experience

The ride starts in the fortified Upper Town, where your guide points out the architectural styles inside the old walls and stops at the Cathedral-Basilica of Notre-Dame, home to the only "Holy Door" outside Europe. From there you'll pedal past the Old Seminary courtyard and City Hall, then head north outside the walls to Parliament Hill — Quebec's answer to the Champs-Élysées — where you can photograph the Fontaine de Tourny. The route covers safe city streets and bike paths, with some minor hills; if you're not confident on a regular bike, the e-bike option handles the terrain without the effort.

The heart of the tour is the Plains of Abraham, a national battlefield park where you stop at Jeanne d'Arc Garden for a snack and a break. From there, the ride descends a winding secret passage trail — the same route British troops used to climb and surprise the French army during the 1759 battle. After that, you pedal through the Montcalm neighborhood, a vibrant district of outdoor cafés, boutiques and bistros with a street-art edge, before finishing on a tree-lined bike path that hugs the Saint Lawrence River all the way toward Lower Town.

Your guide carries water and provides a helmet and handlebar bag. The maximum group size is eight people, so the pace stays manageable and you're not herded through stops. Children are welcome from age 16 and must ride with an adult; all rider heights need to be noted when you book so the bikes fit properly. If weather turns poor, you can reschedule for another date or get a full refund.
