The experience
You meet at Granville Island, check in an hour before departure, and get fitted with a lifejacket and safety gear. The operator supplies a one-day boater's license and brief training: no prior experience needed. Once on the water, you follow a guide through English Bay into Howe Sound, throttling your own Sea-Doo at a pace you control. The route takes you past Pam Rocks, where you'll see the seal colony and watch for migratory birds overhead. It's wildlife viewing from the water, not from a stationary boat.
After exploring Howe Sound, you head to Bowen Island and dock at a local restaurant. You stroll through the shops, then sit down to dinner: one main course and one drink per person are included. The menu is yours to choose at check-in. Once you've eaten, you ride back across the water to Granville Island, completing the four-hour loop.
Wetsuits are provided, and swimsuits are recommended. Jeans aren't allowed on the jetskis. The tour runs in all weather, so dress for the conditions. A $12 collision coverage fee and $1,000 damage deductible are collected at check-in and released at the end of the activity. Anyone 19 or older can drive with a valid government photo ID. Those 16–18 need a driver's license and must be accompanied by an adult.
Is this one for you?The tour runs four hours and involves active water operation, so it suits travelers with a free afternoon and comfort handling a personal watercraft. The pace is yours to set on the water, and the guide handles navigation and safety.
