Île d'Orléans food tour with Montmorency Falls: 3–5 tastings
Taste your way across a working island without planning the stops or the route.
A VIP guided food tour of Île d'Orléans and Montmorency Falls pairs 3 to 5 gourmet stops with visits to local farms, cider houses and vineyards, plus entry and a cable car ride at Québec's tallest waterfall. A driver and certified guide handle the route and the timing; you choose between a private Spanish tour or a private French/English tour at checkout. Tip is not included and is recommended at 15–20% at the end.
Step-by-step itinerary
Explore Île d’Orléans and Montmorency Falls
- Meet guide at 112 Saint-Paul Street
- Visit Montmorency Falls Park
- Discover local farm on Île d’Orléans
- Taste products and learn processing
- Taste cider at production site
- Taste local wines and learn vineyard adaptation
The Experience
The tour starts at the office on Saint-Paul Street and moves through Île d'Orléans on a route built around the island's producers. You'll stop at a working farm first, then move through the island's processing facilities where you taste products as they're made—cider from local apples, wines grown in the extreme climate that swings from hot to freezing, and other preserved goods. Each stop includes explanation from the people who make what you're tasting, not a script read from a distance. Along the way, Montmorency Falls breaks the food itinerary: an 83-meter waterfall that you reach by cable car, with entry and the ride included.
The guide is certified and experienced, and speaks either Spanish or French and English depending on which option you book. The driver stays with the group, so transport between stops is part of the experience, not something you arrange. The whole day runs 5 to 6 hours. A 15–20% tip is recommended at the end of the tour and is not built into the price.

Is this one for you?Book the private Spanish visit if your group speaks Spanish; choose the French/English option if you need those languages instead. Either way, the guide and driver handle the route and timing, so a day built around local food and a waterfall stays on schedule without anyone building it.

What exactly do I taste on this tour?
The tour includes 3 to 5 gourmet stops depending on the season, featuring cider made from Île d'Orléans apples, local wines, and processed products from the island's farms and producers. You taste them at the source where they're made, with explanations from the people who produce them.
Is Montmorency Falls included, or do I pay extra?
Montmorency Falls Park entry and the cable car ticket are both included in the tour price. The waterfall is 83 meters tall and is Québec's highest, and the cable car is part of how you experience it.
Do I need to arrange my own transportation to the starting point?
A driver is included with the tour and handles all transport between stops on Île d'Orléans and to Montmorency Falls. Pickup from your hotel is not included, but public transportation options are available near the office on Saint-Paul Street where the tour begins.
Can I book this tour in Spanish?
Yes—one of the three purchase options is a private Spanish visit. The other option is a private tour in French and English. Both include the same food stops, guide and driver.
How much walking is involved?
The tour requires at least a moderate level of physical fitness. You move between stops on the island and walk through farms and production facilities, but the pace is set by the guide and the group stays together.
What's the difference between the private tour options?
The private Spanish visit and the private French/English visit are the same tour with the same stops and inclusions—the difference is the language your guide speaks. Both are private group tours with a driver and certified guide.
