Children from age 1 are welcome, though only those 19 and older participate in tastings.
Step-by-step itinerary
Tastings at wineries and brewery
- Visit Huron Counties first winery
- Tour local favorite brewery
- Experience Cowbell brewery facilities
The experience
The tour runs five hours and covers the backroads along Lake Huron's shores, hitting Huron County's first winery, a local brewery housed in a grand old barn with a games room and brewhouse bar, and other libation stops across the region. Tasting fees at the wineries are included in the price, so you're not paying extra at each stop. The showcase winery includes a guided walk from the vineyard through to the tasting room: the kind of behind-the-scenes access that changes how you understand what's in the glass.
Pickup happens at your door within 50km of London, Exeter, Sarnia or Stratford: your residence, hotel or Airbnb. The driver is both your transportation and your guide, so there's no separate person to coordinate with and no navigating yourself. Groups run from four to thirty passengers depending on the vehicle, though the operator notes that smaller groups get a more intimate experience with the guide. Wheelchair-accessible vehicles and venues are available. Service animals are welcome.
