The experience

The Development package starts with a custom fitting appointment at one of Whistler's slope-side rental shops. You pick the time and location that works for your arrival, and the semi-private fitting lounge means you're not waiting in a crowd while staff dial in your boots and bindings. The skis and poles are built for learning (stable and forgiving), so beginners have gear that responds predictably as they build confidence on the hill.

Once you're fitted, the rental runs for five days. If you want to switch to different skis partway through, complimentary swaps let you try another setup without extra cost or hassle. The slope-side location keeps you close to the lifts, so you're not hauling gear across the village between runs. Early and late closing times mean you can return equipment before breakfast or after an evening session, depending on how your day shapes up.

Helmets are available to purchase separately if you want one. The rental is wheelchair accessible, and public transportation options run near the slope-side shops. Delivery service is available if you're staying directly in the Whistler or Blackcomb area and prefer gear brought to your accommodation.
