The experience
The tour runs eight to nine hours and covers four temples across the Angkor complex. You start either before dawn for sunrise at Angkor Wat itself, or in the afternoon for the sunset option at Phnom Bakheng. A professional English-speaking guide meets you at your hotel and drives you through the sites in an air-conditioned vehicle, handling the route so you focus on what you're seeing. Water and towels come along for the full day.
Angkor Wat is the centerpiece: the massive 12th-century temple where you watch light break across the stone if you choose the sunrise departure. Ta Prohm follows, the jungle-wrapped temple most visitors recognize, then Ta Nei's smaller monastic complex. Bayon closes the temple sequence with its distinctive carved faces and the grounds of Angkor Thom surrounding it. If you pick sunset, Phnom Bakheng becomes your final stop, a hilltop viewpoint where the light fades over the temple landscape.
You choose between joining a small group or booking the tour privately. Both options include hotel pickup and drop-off. The difference is whether you travel with other visitors or as your own party. Admission to Angkor Wat costs 37 USD per person and is not included in the tour price. Wear casual clothes, comfortable shoes, and bring a cover for shoulders and knees. The dress code is enforced at the temples. Small cash is useful if you want to buy seasonal fruit or souvenirs from vendors along the route.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (3 to 11 years): free. Children under 3 can't be included in the booking.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the difference between the sunrise and sunset options for this tour?
Sunrise departs before dawn and positions you at Angkor Wat to watch the sun come up over the main temple, then moves through the other three sites during the morning. Sunset starts in the afternoon, visits the four temples, and ends at Phnom Bakheng mountain for the light to fade over the landscape. Both run eight to nine hours.
Do I need to book a private tour or can I join a small group?
You can choose either at checkout. The small group option travels with other visitors. The private tour is your own party. Both include the same guide, sites, vehicle and hotel pickup.
What is Ta Prohm and why is it on this tour?
Ta Prohm is a 12th-century temple where tree roots have grown through the stone structures, creating the jungle-temple look many visitors come to Angkor to see. It's one of the four main stops because it's visually distinct from Angkor Wat and shows a different phase of the complex's history and how nature has reclaimed parts of it.
Is the Angkor Wat entrance fee included in the tour price?
No. Admission to Angkor Wat is 37 USD per person and you pay it separately. The tour price covers the guide, vehicle, hotel pickup and drop-off, water and towels.
What should I bring or wear for eight to nine hours at the temples?
Wear comfortable shoes and casual clothes. Shoulders and knees must be covered at all the temples. Bring small cash for fruit or souvenirs if you want them. The vehicle is air-conditioned and water is provided, so you don't need to carry large amounts of supplies.
