Five stops between two cities, no bus station in sight

This shared transfer between Sarajevo and Dubrovnik runs 10 to 12 hours with a driver-guide who stops at five landmarks across Herzegovina: Mostar's UNESCO-protected Old Bridge, the Blagaj Tekke monastery beside the Buna River spring, the medieval stone village of Pocitelj, and Kravice waterfalls. Hotel pickup and drop-off bookend the route, and you choose the direction at checkout.

Step-by-step itinerary

Transfer and sightseeing from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik

  • Depart from Sarajevo at 8am
  • Stop in Konjic to see Old Bridge
  • Visit Mostar's Old Bridge and landmarks
  • See Blagaj Tekke by Buna river spring
  • Explore medieval town of Pocitelj
  • Enjoy Kravice waterfalls
  • Arrive and drop off at Dubrovnik hotel

The experience

The van leaves Sarajevo at 8am and heads south through rural Herzegovina, stopping first in Konjic to see its Old Bridge before reaching Mostar. There, the driver-guide walks you past the UNESCO-protected Stari Most, the city's iconic arched stone bridge, and through the surrounding quarters: Kriva Cuprija (the oldest arch bridge), the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, the Turkish bath still in use, and Kujundžiluk, the old bazaar where the narrow lanes narrow further. This is not a rushed photo stop. The itinerary gives Mostar room to breathe.

From Mostar, the route turns toward Blagaj, a small settlement where the Blagaj Tekke (a Dervish monastery from the early Ottoman period) sits beside the spring where the Buna River emerges from the mountain. The setting is quiet and enclosed by steep rock. Next comes Pocitelj, a medieval village stacked into a rocky amphitheater with stone houses and pomegranate bushes climbing between stairways. Then the van reaches Kravice waterfalls, a natural amphitheater 40 kilometers southwest of Mostar where the Trebižat River drops in a series of cascades the operator compares to Niagara Falls in miniature. The state has protected it as a natural rarity.

After the waterfalls, the route continues to Dubrovnik (or reverses to Sarajevo if you booked the return direction). The driver drops you at your hotel or apartment, ending the day without a transfer desk or a taxi queue. The van is air-conditioned, seats are shared with other travelers, and a professional driver-guide speaks English throughout. Fuel is included. Entrance fees for Blagaj monastery (10 BAM) and Kravice waterfalls (20 BAM) are separate.

What’s included

  • Hotel pickup and drop-off at both ends.
  • air-conditioned shared vehicle.
  • professional driver-guide speaking English.

What is the Stari Most in Mostar?

The Stari Most is Mostar's UNESCO-protected Old Bridge, a stone arch built across the Neretva River that serves as the city's most recognizable landmark and the symbolic heart of its history. The driver-guide shows you the bridge itself and the surrounding quarters (the old bazaar, the Turkish bath, and other historic sites) during the Mostar stop.

How long does the whole journey take?

Do I need a passport for this transfer?

Yes, a current valid passport is required on the day of travel. The route crosses the Bosnia-Herzegovina border twice (into and out of the country), so border control will check your documents.

What happens if I want to go from Dubrovnik back to Sarajevo instead?
