The experience

The winery sits 15 kilometers from Banja Luka, and the owners will walk you through how they produce wine in a climate where few others attempt it. You'll visit the cellar, learn the process, and taste three different sorts of wine: the core of the afternoon. The hosts are direct about what they do: they're pioneers in an unlikely place, and they'll tell you why they started. This is not a polished tasting room but a working operation where the people who made the wine are the ones pouring it.

After the winery, you drive 20 minutes to Stuplje monastery, set in open countryside. The route back to Banja Luka takes about 40 minutes. The whole day runs five hours from pickup to return. You can bring your own lunch or buy food at the winery location if you want to eat between the two stops.

Transportation is private, so the timing is yours to set. A live guide speaks English, German, Croatian or Serbian, and pickup from your Banja Luka accommodation is included. Children from age 3 can join. Wine tasting is for ages 18 and up.
